The Great Ball of Eights
Dear Friends and Colleagues:
It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in our special
Fundraising Evening in Toronto, where the Czech and Slovak communities
in Canada will proudly present their first Gala Dinner Dance,
"The Great Ball of Eights", on Friday February
15th 2008, at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto.
This Black Tie affair will celebrate the successes of Czechs and
Slovaks here in Canada and their contribution to the Canadian
Society. The Gala will also commemorate significant historical
events of both nations since the year of 1918.
Proceeds from the Gala will go towards the Sick Children's Hospital
in Toronto, and will be donated to The SickKids Foundation.
The Master of Ceremonies for the event will be Jaymz Bee, a well-known
producer and on-air host for over five years at Canada's premiere
jazz station, JAZZ.FM91.
Music for your listening pleasure will be provided by George Grosman
and his group (Toronto) and you will be able to dance to the well-known,
big band sound of Kevin Clark's Orchestra (North Carolina).
The "Great Ball of Eights" Gala will help and support
many sick children in their quest for a cure and a healthier way
of life. We ask you to help us to help these children, through
your support. Not only will the February 15th Dinner be an entertaining
and fun evening for those in attendance, but any show of solidarity,
such as sponsorship, silent auction or cash donations, will help
us in our mission.
Together we can make a great deal of difference in the lives of
all these children. Please review the enclosed order form to identify
your level of support. Even if you are unable to attend the dinner,
tax-deductible donations is a great way to show your support for
our cause. Your consideration of this request is greatly appreciated.
We hope to see you on February 15th 2008.
